Account Manager – Chinese Accounts

About the role

Caterpillar is seeking an Account Manager to lead growth with Chinese state‑owned and privately‑owned enterprises operating across the region. Based in the Ivory Coast office, you will be part of the Customer Solutions Growth Regions division, working closely with dealers and internal partners to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep understanding of Chinese accounts, building trust‑based relationships with key decision makers.
• Coordinate Caterpillar’s matrix of resources to deliver meaningful outcomes and solve complex customer challenges.
• Oversee all sales and marketing activities for assigned client groups, ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
• Consult with dealers and internal business partners on sales and service support for managed accounts.
• Design and communicate processes informing customers of rates, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and other critical information.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus with the ability to understand and anticipate client needs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across matrixed teams.
• Proven experience in managing key accounts, preferably within construction or industrial sectors.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
