Finance Operations Referent – Emergency Cell

About the role

The Finance Operations Referent for the Emergency Cell will join Médecins Sans Frontières' Finance Operations (FinOp) department and work directly within the Emergency Unit. Based at the MSF West and Central Africa headquarters in Abidjan, the role supports the financial management of emergency missions deployed across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the financial aspects of emergency interventions, ensuring compliance with MSF policies and Ivorian law.
• Report to both the Head of the Emergency Unit and the Head of Finance Operations, acting as the finance liaison for operational teams.
• Assist the Emergency Unit with administrative and financial procedures, including budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of field financial strategies.
• Support FINCO/COFIHR processes and ensure the proper use of financial tools.

Required profile

• Experience in financial management within humanitarian or non‑profit settings.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast‑moving emergency contexts.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English; French is an advantage.
