Fragrance Evaluation Manager – Sub‑Saharan Africa

About the role

The Fragrance Evaluation Manager will lead the Sub‑Saharan Africa evaluation team, based in Ivory Coast and South Africa, supporting the fragrance sales function and delivering market‑driven olfactive solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing evaluation team across the region.
• Manage the annual travel budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Build and update fragrance collections per category, reflecting local market needs.
• Transfer global innovation knowledge to the regional team.
• Maintain strong links with sales, marketing and consumer insight departments to capture customer preferences.
• Oversee fragrance projects from brief to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Analyse market trends, create and optimise local fragrance portfolios.
• Provide guidance on olfactive choices to sales teams and clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams and managing projects in a fragrance or consumer‑goods environment.
• Strong market knowledge of Sub‑Saharan Africa consumer preferences.
• Ability to translate client briefs into viable fragrance proposals.
• Excellent communication and talent‑development skills.

Required skills

• GPMS (fragrance management system) proficiency.
• Fragrance classification tools.
• Stability testing procedures.
