Joint Venture Accountant – Oil & Gas Finance

About the role

Eni Côte d'Ivoire is seeking a Joint Venture Accountant to manage JV accounting and reporting for its operated and non‑operated assets in Abidjan. The role ensures accurate financial management, supports internal stakeholders, and serves as the main contact for partners, auditors and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation and submission of JV financial statements, cash calls and billing statements in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Record JV transactions (costs, revenues, accruals, allocations) promptly in SAP or equivalent ERP.
• Manage partner accounts, monitor payments, cash calls and equity contributions.
• Support JV budgeting, revisions and variance analysis.
• Act as primary financial liaison for JV partners, respond to inquiries and assist with joint, statutory and internal audits.
• Maintain reconciliations of JV accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with PSA, JOA and other contractual frameworks.
• Coordinate audit responses and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to internal control procedures and reporting improvements.
• Participate in quarterly closings and report to Corporate Finance headquarters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Extensive experience in oil & gas finance with a focus on joint‑venture accounting.
• Strong knowledge of JOA/PSA principles, cost recovery and JV reporting.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Fluency in English; French is an advantage.
