Legal Specialist - Oilfield Services & Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual attorney to join our global legal team, focusing on commercial contracts for oilfield services and equipment. The role supports both French and English contract workflows and works closely with business development, sales, and government contracting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal reviews of contracts, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure consistency between French and English versions.
• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including master service agreements, pricing contracts, software licenses, bids, tenders, NDAs, and sub‑contracts for upstream, midstream, and downstream projects.
• Manage legal operations initiatives such as outside‑counsel coordination and reporting on key legal performance metrics.
• Provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders and support global business units on contract‑related matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience negotiating commercial contracts, with at least 2 years in the oil & gas sector.
• Licensed to practice law and proven ability to draft and negotiate contracts in both French and English.
• Fluent in French and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting a global business and advising senior leaders on contract law and risk exposure.
• Strong analytical, writing, and independent work capabilities.
