Programme Support Officer – Immigration & Border Governance

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Support Officer to contribute to its Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) programme in Côte d'Ivoire. The role supports the implementation of IOM’s strategic objectives to promote humane, orderly migration and strengthen border governance in alignment with national and regional development plans.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination and monitoring of IBG activities and projects.
• Prepare and update project documentation, reports, and briefing notes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support data collection, analysis and presentation of results related to border management and migration trends.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration with government agencies, UN partners and civil society organizations.
• Contribute to the organization of workshops, trainings and stakeholder meetings.
• Maintain project files, databases and ensure compliance with IOM policies and procedures.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences, international relations, migration studies or a related field.
• Relevant experience in migration, border governance or international development programmes.
• Strong understanding of IOM’s mandate and the regional migration context.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; French is an asset.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and manage multiple tasks.
