Agent Operations Territory Lead

About the role

Wave is expanding its cashless financial services across Africa and needs a dynamic leader to oversee agent operations in a defined territory. Based in Abidjan, you will drive agent recruitment, ensure compliance, and act as the primary liaison between Wave and its distribution network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of agent openers to recruit, train, and onboard new agents within the territory.
• Guarantee agent compliance with legal, policy, and contractual requirements.
• Provide comprehensive training on agent applications, contract terms, rebalancing, fraud management, and related processes.
• Collaborate with the BTL team to equip agents with branding materials and necessary supplies.
• Monitor cash and float availability at agent locations in coordination with the liquidity team.
• Conduct regular field visits to assess performance, identify risks, and address emerging issues.
• Terminate under‑performing agents, recover Wave assets, and remove branding as needed.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all agency networks using Wave products in the territory.
• Promote excellent customer service standards among distributors and agents.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing agent or field networks, preferably in financial services or mobile payments.
• Strong understanding of legal and policy compliance for agent operations.
• Ability to train and mentor agents on operational procedures and risk mitigation.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a focus on performance monitoring.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the territory.
• Legal work authorization in Côte d’Ivoire.
