Marketing Operations Manager – Agri Sector (West Africa)

About the role

The multinational group leading agricultural solutions distribution across Africa seeks a Marketing Operations Manager to shape visibility and merchandising strategies for its product portfolio in West Africa. The role focuses on boosting brand awareness, driving sales, and creating digital tools to reach smallholder farmers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a global visibility and merchandising development plan, covering resources, budget, and calendar.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, and communication teams to align visual identity strategy.
• Manage external providers such as POS design agencies and display manufacturers.
• Define and execute promotional plans in partnership with distributors.
• Develop cost‑effective digital tools (e.g., WhatsApp) to engage smallholder farmers.
• Supervise and motivate merchandising teams, including external agencies.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Sales, Marketing, Commercial Management, Distribution or a related field.
• 6‑8 years of experience in marketing or sales with a strong retail focus.
• Deep understanding of consulting service providers and competitor merchandising strategies.
• Willingness to travel across the region and/or relocate.
• Strong negotiation, team‑management, and cross‑functional communication abilities.
• Dynamic, innovative, and customer‑oriented mindset.
