QA/QC Civil/Steel Structure Inspector (OSBL)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction QA/QC Civil & Steel Structure Inspector to ensure full compliance of civil and structural steel activities on site. The role involves verifying subcontractor method statements, monitoring materials, equipment and workmanship, and guaranteeing that all works follow approved engineering specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and approve subcontractor Method Statements before work commences and monitor their implementation.
• Support material verification and ensure proper calibration of measuring instruments.
• Inspect civil and steel structure works, confirming compliance with drawings, specifications, standards and quality plans.
• Identify design discrepancies, raise non‑conformities and assist the Construction Quality Manager in corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate inspection activities with clients, subcontractors and construction teams.
• Supervise subcontractor personnel, equipment and workmanship to maintain project quality standards.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of Construction QA/QC experience on civil and steel structure projects, preferably in EPC, industrial or Oil & Gas environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, ITPs, Method Statements and QA/QC procedures.
• Proven experience in inspecting concrete structures, foundations, underground works, steel fabrication, erection and grouting.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Fluent in English and French.
