HSE Specialist Intern – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

The HSE Specialist Intern will support local management in building and continuously improving a strong Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture at the Abidjan worksite. This role offers a hands‑on opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real‑world HSE challenges in a global technology company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop awareness and ensure HSE policies and standards are integrated into daily work activities.
• Assist in implementing the HSE Management System and monitoring HSE objectives.
• Assess local risks and help generate site‑specific HSE procedures.
• Monitor compliance with HSE plans, policies, standards and procedures.
• Coordinate HSE training sessions for staff.
• Review HSE documentation and training material for accuracy.
• Track and follow up on HSE reports and audit findings.
• Recommend improvements to the HSE program and analyse HSE trends for the location.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in a Health, Safety and Environment related field.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to learn quickly and translate learning into practical solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and initiative.
• Willingness to adhere to company QHSE policies and procedures.
