Senior Finance Associate – G7 (Fixed‑Term) – Abidjan

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Senior Finance Associate (G‑7) on a fixed‑term basis to support its financial operations in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. The role ensures accurate, timely financial processing in line with UNICEF’s rules and contributes to the organization’s mission of promoting children’s rights worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight and technical support to transactional finance teams.
• Ensure consistent adherence to UNICEF financial policies and procedures.
• Research, adapt, and evaluate irregular financial cases, recommending process improvements.
• Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in finance or accounting, preferably in an international organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
