SHE Coordinator

About the role

Louis Dreyfus Company is seeking a proactive Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Coordinator for its Abidjan facility in Ivory Coast. The role will ensure that corporate SHE standards and local regulations are fully implemented across all operations, fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain SHE management systems and procedures aligned with corporate standards and Ivorian regulations.
• Conduct regular SHE audits, inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and verify compliance.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root‑cause analyses and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide SHE training and support to employees, contractors, visitors and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed SHE considerations into project planning and execution.
• Monitor and analyse SHE performance metrics, trends and leading indicators to drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive SHE reports to senior management, including performance data, incident statistics and compliance status.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in SHE management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or similar role.
• Strong interest in people management and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Customer‑focused, accountable, team‑oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Highly motivated, innovative, adaptable and flexible.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High commitment to compliance and strong work ethics.
• Analytical mindset.
