Analyst – Advice for Small Businesses (ASB) Programme

About the role

The Analyst will support the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s Advice for Small Businesses (ASB) Programme. Working under the Principal Manager, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of advisory projects – from initiation and structuring to execution, monitoring and completion.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advisory instruments and activities in line with the Bank’s policies, donor requirements and compliance standards.
• Originate, design, implement, monitor and evaluate advisory projects for SME clients.
• Analyse clients’ financial statements and growth prospects to shape impactful advisory support.
• Contribute to business development by building a pipeline of high‑quality SME clients and advisory opportunities in priority sectors such as digital, green, inclusion and innovation.
• Ensure synergy between advisory services and banking products, including SME finance programmes and risk‑sharing facilities.
• Support regular portfolio assessment, reporting and visibility activities.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience in SME advisory or financial analysis.
• Ability to work under supervision, collaborate with senior team members and engage with international stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
