ASM Coordinator – Artisanal & Small‑scale Mining

About the role

Endeavour Mining is seeking an ASM Coordinator to lead the implementation of its Artisanal and Small‑scale Mining (ASM) strategy at the Assafo‑Dibibango project in Côte d’Ivoire. The role will focus on formalising ASM activities, mitigating associated risks, and fostering sustainable community relations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and roll out the group‑wide ASM engagement and formalisation strategy for Assafo‑Dibibango.
• Monitor key performance indicators, timelines and resource needs for ASM initiatives.
• Conduct baseline assessments of ASM activities, risks and opportunities near the project site.
• Develop site‑specific ASM management and formalisation plans in collaboration with Social Performance and Security teams.
• Build and maintain a network of community leaders and map key ASM stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on progress, challenges and field‑level developments.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with artisanal and small‑scale mining communities or similar stakeholder‑engagement programmes.
• Strong understanding of social performance standards, environmental compliance and community development in mining contexts.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to engage diverse internal and external partners.
• Ability to work on‑site in a remote mining environment.

Required skills

• Experience in designing and implementing ASM formalisation strategies.
• Knowledge of baseline assessment methodologies and KPI monitoring.
• Familiarity with community stakeholder mapping and engagement planning.
