Senior Finance Associate (GS7) – Abidjan

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Senior Finance Associate (GS7) to join its finance team in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The role involves delivering high‑quality financial services, ensuring compliance with UNICEF’s financial rules, and supporting the organization’s mission to promote children’s rights.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight and support to transactional finance teams, ensuring adherence to standards, policies and best practices.
• Deliver specialized finance tasks with accuracy and timeliness, in line with UNICEF financial regulations.
• Research, analyse and evaluate irregular cases, proposing improvements to processes and designs.
• Exercise autonomy in leading finance streams, offering technical expertise and procedural guidance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective financial operations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance, preferably within international organisations or NGOs.
• Strong knowledge of financial rules, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions and lead finance initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
