Chief Technology Officer

About the role

MagmaSend, a fast‑growing fintech operating across West Africa, is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to define and execute its technology vision. Based in Abidjan, this full‑time, on‑site role will guide the development of secure, scalable payment solutions that serve millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Lead software development teams and set engineering standards.
• Define and drive the overall IT strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design solution architectures that are scalable, secure and reliable.
• Manage complex technology projects from planning through delivery.
• Support product development initiatives from ideation to launch.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology across the organization.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in software development and modern programming languages, frameworks and tools.
• Extensive project‑management experience, including planning, coordination and execution of technology initiatives.
• Expertise in IT‑strategy development and aligning technology with business objectives.
• Deep knowledge of system architecture for building scalable and secure platforms.
• Proven track record in product development with a user‑centric focus.
• Exceptional leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field; fluency in French and English is highly desirable.
