Investment Officer – Climate Finance (LIFT Programme)

About the role

The Investment Officer will drive climate‑finance delivery under GGGI’s LIFT Programme, focusing on creating bankable concept notes for multilateral climate funds and building green‑lending portfolios with financial institutions across several countries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality, investment‑ready Concept Notes for multilateral climate funds and other donors.
• Design and operationalise green‑lending frameworks and portfolios with partner financial institutions.
• Provide technical coordination to structure climate investment opportunities and strengthen pipelines aligned with national priorities.
• Work closely with Accredited Entities, government counterparts, consultants and financial institutions to ensure compliance with donor requirements.
• Support financial institutions in pipeline identification, product structuring and capacity‑building for climate‑aligned investments.
• Contribute to stakeholder engagement, procurement inputs, programme reporting and knowledge‑management activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in climate finance, investment structuring or green‑lending initiatives.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑country assignments involving financial institutions, consultants and development partners.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to translate technical assistance into scalable financing solutions.
• Experience working with inter‑governmental or multilateral organisations is an advantage.
