Lenders Insurance Advisor Consultant

About the role

The Lenders’ Insurance Advisory Practice (LIAP) team in Abidjan is seeking a proactive Insurance Advisor Consultant to support project‑finance lenders across West Africa and globally. You will act as the primary liaison between lenders, project sponsors, legal advisers and technical specialists, delivering high‑quality insurance due‑diligence services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain contact with key project‑finance lenders and prepare proposals in response to bid requests.
• Negotiate terms of consultancy assignments and manage fee transactions.
• Conduct insurance due‑diligence assignments, attend meetings with bankers, sponsors, and legal advisers, and coordinate with technical specialists.
• Research technical insurance aspects for specific projects and prepare detailed insurance reports.
• Provide written and verbal advice to lenders, deliver presentations, and negotiate with project‑company placing brokers.
• Ensure all services meet LIAP standards and working practices.

Required profile

• Background in general insurance (industrial/commercial risks), legal affairs, or infrastructure project financing.
• Strong independent work ethic combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Impeccable organisational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• High level of confidentiality, flexibility, and a collaborative team attitude.
• Fluent in both French and English.
