Partnership Specialist – Francophone Africa

About the role

Kora is building the infrastructure that powers cross‑border payments for banks, fintechs and enterprises. The Partnership Specialist for Francophone Africa will own and grow the network of banks, aggregators, wallet providers and licensed financial institutions that enable Kora’s corridors in the XAF and XOF regions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full portfolio of strategic partnerships in the XAF/XOF corridor, focusing on depth and quality.
• Map payment corridors, identify critical partner types, and close agreements that unlock corridor capability.
• Identify, structure, and oversee licensing and regulatory partnerships to facilitate market entry.
• Source, approach, and negotiate partnership agreements with banks, aggregators and wallet providers.
• Build and convert a high‑value merchant pipeline, leading the end‑to‑end sales cycle.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with existing partners, monitor performance and address gaps.
• Provide product and compliance teams with insights on francophone partner needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing B2B partnerships in the financial services or payments sector.
• Strong understanding of the XAF and XOF markets and regulatory environment.
• Ability to negotiate and structure partnership agreements.
• Track record of building and managing a sales pipeline from prospecting to closing.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills.
