Senior Maintenance Planner

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Planner is responsible for designing and executing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and minimise production interruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance plans, including long‑term component replacement schedules.
• Schedule maintenance tasks, allocate manpower, tools, materials and spare parts, and estimate job durations.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to align maintenance windows with production schedules.
• Review work orders, prioritize tasks based on risk and criticality, and monitor completion status.
• Maintain accurate records in CMMS platforms (Accpac and D365), tracking equipment history, spare‑part usage and downtime.
• Analyse maintenance data to identify failure patterns and recommend reliability improvements.
• Ensure spare‑part availability by monitoring inventory, forecasting needs and liaising with procurement.
• Prepare detailed shutdown/turnaround plans, oversee execution and track key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance planning within an industrial or production environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret equipment data and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and coordination skills across multiple departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CMMS systems, specifically Accpac and D365.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance methodologies.
• Familiarity with spare‑part inventory management and procurement processes.
