Senior Mining Sales Engineer / Key Account Manager

About the role

AES Group is seeking a Senior Mining Sales Engineer / Key Account Manager to expand its presence in the mining sector across West Africa. The role involves building strategic relationships with mining companies, identifying new business opportunities, and driving commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic mining accounts throughout West Africa.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in mining organisations.
• Identify and develop new projects and business opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
• Coordinate regional opportunities involving multiple AES operations.
• Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports and achieve annual sales targets.
• Represent AES at industry events, conferences and customer meetings.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• 7+ years of experience in mining, technical sales or business development.
• Proven track record of managing key accounts and delivering commercial growth.
• Existing network within the West African mining sector is highly desirable.
• Fluent English required; French is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively across West Africa.
