Senior Production Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Production Engineer to join Eni Côte d'Ivoire in Abidjan. The role provides advanced technical expertise to optimise hydrocarbon production, maximise asset performance, improve energy efficiency and ensure safe, reliable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production optimisation initiatives to maximise oil, gas and water handling performance while maintaining operational integrity.
• Monitor and analyse well and field performance through production surveillance and recommend improvement actions.
• Conduct production system analysis, identify bottlenecks and implement enhancement programmes including well interventions.
• Evaluate and optimise artificial lift systems and flow‑assurance strategies.
• Support production forecasting, field development planning and reservoir management activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Reservoir Engineering and HSE teams to improve asset reliability.
• Drive energy‑efficiency and emissions‑reduction projects aligned with sustainability goals.
• Participate in budget preparation and cost‑optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Petroleum, Process, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in Production Engineering within the oil & gas industry, including mature field optimisation.
• Fluency in English; French is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and leadership capabilities.
