Access Manager – Market Access & Pricing

About the role

The Access Manager will support the Head of Value & Access in developing and implementing access, listing, pricing, and reimbursement strategies across Ivory Coast and other markets, ensuring optimal market access outcomes for Novartis.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and implement the Pricing & Market Access (P&MA) strategy and operational plan for the country.
• Monitor reimbursement and pricing dynamics, identifying risks and opportunities for new product uptake.
• Conduct market assessments, map access drivers, and craft compelling value stories to position Novartis treatments.
• Support the SSA Head of Value & Access in building pricing strategies and defining broader P&MA requirements for new and existing products.
• Advise Key Account Managers on strategic pricing aligned with country and regional strategies.
• Engage with payers and decision makers to gather insights that drive impactful actions.
• Localize required documents for enlisting, including Global Value Dossiers and health‑economic models.
• Deliver training on HEOR tools, models, and objection handling to KAMs and cross‑functional teams.
• Design and execute advocacy activities for priority Novartis brands.
• Represent Novartis in trade associations and policy working groups, leading external advocacy on pricing and access topics.

Required profile

• University degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, Health Economics or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in market access, reimbursement dossier preparation, external affairs, advocacy, or pricing.
• Proven ability to manage external stakeholder relationships in health or pharma organizations.
• Demonstrated negotiation, persuasion and influence capabilities.
• Experience establishing and managing pricing and market access strategies.
• Strong communication skills to convey value story topics clearly.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
