Account Manager – Chinese Accounts

About the role

The Account Manager – Chinese Accounts will lead growth for Caterpillar’s Chinese state‑owned and privately‑owned enterprises across the region. Based in the Ivory Coast office, you will act as the primary liaison between customers, dealers and internal teams, delivering tailored solutions that meet complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep understanding of Chinese accounts, building trust‑based relationships with key decision makers.
• Coordinate Caterpillar’s matrix resources to deliver customer outcomes and solve challenging problems.
• Oversee and align all sales and marketing activities for the assigned client group.
• Consult with dealers and internal partners to provide sales and service support for managed accounts.
• Design and implement processes for communicating rates, shipping dates, anticipated delays and other critical information to customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Chinese state‑owned (SOE) and privately‑owned (POE) accounts in Africa or similar markets.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with senior customer stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate a matrix organization and leverage enterprise resources.
• Excellent communication skills and adherence to organizational policies.
