Accounting & Auditing Consultant – Chief Accountant/Auditor

About the role

The Chief Accountant / Auditor will manage and oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for SD Group’s clients, ensuring compliance with best practices and organizational policies. The role involves delivering the APA scope, setting client expectations, leading accounting teams, implementing changes, scheduling visits, providing training, and preparing financial statements while offering strategic financial insights across multiple projects and locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for client entities and internal operations, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
• Develop, implement and continuously enhance accounting policies, procedures and internal control frameworks in line with best practices and SD Group standards.
• Plan, execute and supervise internal audit and financial review engagements across multiple client projects and locations.
• Provide financial, accounting and audit advisory services, supporting the setup and optimisation of clients’ financial management and reporting structures.
• Supervise, mentor and develop accounting and audit team members and deliver training to client finance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and auditing, with proven leadership and team‑management responsibilities.
• Fluency in English and French, high integrity and professionalism.
• Willingness to travel across Lebanon and other African countries as required.
