Cocoa Resilience Associate

About the role

Rainforest Alliance is seeking three Cocoa Resilience Associates to join a field team that delivers agronomic interventions across Côte d’Ivoire. The role supports the launch of operations, ensuring effective delivery, coordination and monitoring of activities that improve cocoa productivity, climate resilience and farmer profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of the adoption observation framework for regenerative agriculture and assist cooperatives and their members.
• Provide technical support to technicians for data collection on farmers’ adoption of regenerative practices.
• Work closely with Coaches to ensure consistent application of technical protocols, field procedures and implementation standards.
• Assist with vehicle management and logistical support for workshops, events, meetings and trips.
• Monitor and evaluate the adoption observation framework, ensuring farmer and cooperative participation.
• Conduct routine field visits to reinforce agronomic practices, troubleshoot challenges and strengthen technical consistency.
• Facilitate communication between Coaches, cooperatives, regional technical support and programme management.
• Support technical training events, field demonstrations and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related discipline.
• At least three years of experience in cocoa farming systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of agricultural extension methodologies and adult learning principles.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical protocols, field guides and SOPs.
• Proficiency in French and working knowledge of English.
• Willingness to travel locally up to 40% of the time.
