Commercial Project Manager

About the role

This permanent position supports the Africa finance team for the Industrial Steam Turbines & Generators business. The Commercial Project Manager ensures accurate commercial and financial oversight of projects across the region, from bidding through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cost controllers to monitor project costs, produce forecasts and evaluate financial impact of scope changes.
• Manage all commercial and finance‑related documentation, including invoicing, revenue recognition, and contractual invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS15, local GAAP, reporting guidelines and internal controls.
• Maintain cost and pricing calculations in SAP and support monthly revenue recognition.
• Liaise with planning, scheduling and project management teams to provide cost data and prepare detailed service and cost reports.
• Support the Project Manager in optimizing financial results and handling accounting, legal, tax, foreign exchange and guarantee matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in cost estimation and budgeting within an industrial or engineering environment.
• Strong analytical skills to manage financial challenges and ensure project profitability.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders.
