Country Safety Manager

About the role

The Country Safety Manager will lead the implementation of ofi's EHS policies across all plant locations in the country, ensuring legal compliance and fostering a zero‑incident safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and execute global and regional safety programs to achieve world‑class safety performance.
• Provide guidance on ofi safety standards and local safety laws, sharing best practices.
• Coach and mentor facility safety professionals and leadership teams.
• Conduct regular site visits to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and promote safety principles.
• Analyze safety performance data, investigate incidents, identify trends, and drive corrective actions.
• Develop safety professionals in collaboration with local leadership.
• Work with the Regional/Global Head of Safety to align initiatives and track metrics.
• Establish and maintain cross‑auditing processes, follow up on gaps and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with country and local safety regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in agribusiness, manufacturing or FMCG, with 2‑4 years in a country/cluster safety leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Occupational Health and Safety, engineering with safety emphasis, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Professional designation.
• Strong leadership, analytical and decision‑making skills, with ability to influence all organizational levels.
