Electrical Deployments Lead

About the role

As Zipline expands its medical delivery network across Côte d’Ivoire, the Electrical Deployments Lead will own the electrical execution of new sites, guiding projects from design review through commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Review electrical designs, drawings, bills of materials and installation plans, identify local code, infrastructure and material risks, and coordinate adaptations with engineering.
• Develop and evaluate RFPs/RFQs for electrical contractors, defining technical scopes, acceptance criteria and cost inputs.
• Direct and oversee field contractors, ensuring safe, code‑compliant work that meets Zipline standards and project schedules.
• Lead inspections, commissioning, acceptance testing, defect resolution and handover documentation for completed installations.
• Troubleshoot electrical and infrastructure issues during deployment and collaborate with operations, supply chain, engineering and country leadership to mitigate risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design, installation or field deployment, with strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills.
• Deep knowledge of Côte d’Ivoire electrical codes, Norme Ivoirienne standards and at least one international code (e.g., NF C 13‑100, IEC 60364, NEC, BS 7671).
• Experience working with Côte d’Ivoire utilities and inspection authorities, including CIE grid‑connection and LBTP/SECUREL certification.
• Fluency in French and English, and willingness to travel frequently across Côte d’Ivoire.
