Field Engineering Program – Controls (Entry Level)

About the role

Join GE Vernova’s FieldCore team as a participant in the Field Engineering Program (FEP) focused on Controls. This entry‑level position combines classroom training, on‑the‑job learning, and mentorship from experienced Technical Field Advisors. Graduates of the program become Technical Field Advisors, traveling to customer sites to install, maintain, and service industrial gas/steam turbine equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of rotating power generation equipment.
• Respond to emergency service requests and troubleshoot problematic equipment.
• Interpret electrical, mechanical flow, and instrument diagrams to guide installation and maintenance activities.
• Conduct dial and laser alignment as well as thermal growth measurements.
• Prepare technical reports, order materials, and document work according to EHS policies.

Required profile

• Entry‑level graduate with a technical background in engineering or a related field.
• Willingness to travel extensively across customer sites.
• Strong commitment to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
