Finance Data Analyst Africa

About the role

The Finance Data Analyst Africa will lead automation, harmonisation and benchmarking of production, sustainability, sourcing costs and operations across Africa, while coordinating monthly closing, budgeting and forecasting for all divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consolidation of production, sustainability, sourcing costs and activity KPIs across Africa.
• Coordinate cost benchmarking and collection of key financials for monthly closing.
• Gather CAPEX needs and drive the annual budget implementation.
• Lead forecast processes, consolidating actuals versus targets for all divisions.
• Harmonise reporting of costs and KPIs for African operations.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities using tools such as Power BI.
• Collect inputs from country FP&A teams for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and profitability.
• Act as a sparring partner to the FP&A Manager Africa, translating complex data into business recommendations.
• Develop and present dashboards to stakeholders at various levels.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems and reports.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, finance, accounting or a related field.
• 6‑7 years of experience in FP&A, business controlling, financial analysis or finance business partnering.
• Multi‑country experience in Africa is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to link financial reporting with underlying economic facts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions, hierarchies and cultures.

Required skills

• Knowledge of finance tools such as SAP, finance ERP, Group Reporting tools (BW, BOFC, Tagetik).
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with VBA, PowerQuery, PowerPivot or Power BI (advantage).
