Fleet Manager

About the role

Wave is expanding its fleet operations across West Africa and needs a seasoned Fleet Manager to build, organize, and lead the fleet function. You will shape processes, mentor a high‑performing team, and ensure seamless vehicle and driver management as the business scales rapidly.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and scale the Fleet department, designing standardized protocols for efficiency and service consistency.
• Oversee daily vehicle and driver allocations, maintenance programs, and asset uptime strategies.
• Manage vendor relationships with garages, dealerships, and insurers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance.
• Administer fleet budgets, drive cost‑optimization initiatives, and report KPI insights to senior leadership.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with local transportation laws and internal safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Operations, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years progressive experience in fleet, transport or large‑scale operations management.
• Fluent in French with good command of English.
• Proven track record managing drivers, external service providers, and complex vendor contracts.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of vehicle maintenance, insurance, and compliance documentation.
• Proficiency in budget administration and analytical KPI‑driven performance monitoring.
