About the role

The client, operating in the mining sector, is looking for a Career Driller to carry out drilling operations required for blasting and ore extraction. The role demands high precision, strict safety compliance, and reliable equipment upkeep on an active mine site.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and position the drilling rig according to the approved drilling plan.
• Execute drilling operations with defined parameters (diameter, depth, inclination, spacing).
• Verify the quality and conformity of drilled holes against blasting specifications.
• Perform routine upkeep and first‑level maintenance of the drilling equipment.
• Report any technical anomalies or breakdowns to the maintenance department.
• Adhere to site safety instructions and traffic zones.
• Collaborate with mining teams to prepare blasting zones.
• Complete activity logs (meters drilled, incidents, fuel consumption).
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and participate in daily safety briefings.

Required profile

• CAP/BEP qualification or CACES certification for operating heavy machinery, or specific training in mining drilling.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in career or mine drilling.
• Good understanding of drilling techniques and basic terrain geology.
• Willingness to work shift schedules and outdoors in noisy, dusty, vibrating conditions.
• Physical resilience, autonomy, and strong safety awareness.

Required skills

• Operation and adjustment of career drilling rigs.
• Reading and interpreting drilling and blasting plans.
• First‑level preventive maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Knowledge of mining‑specific HSE regulations.
• CACES certification for heavy‑equipment handling.
