Group Planning and Procurement Manager

About the role

Lapaire is seeking a Group Planning and Procurement Manager to lead demand planning, international logistics and procurement across its African optical network. Based in Abidjan, you will ensure product availability at the right time, in the right quantities and at optimal cost, supporting sales growth and margin optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Build and continuously improve demand forecasts at SKU and country level in coordination with sales, marketing and operations.
• Define replenishment parameters such as safety stock, reorder points and lead times for all product categories.
• Monitor inventory health across all countries, identify stock issues and propose corrective actions.
• Implement procurement strategy for frames, lenses and optical components aligned with demand and inventory plans.
• Supervise the Procurement Specialist in purchase order execution, supplier follow‑up and delivery tracking.
• Manage supplier performance (price, quality, lead time, reliability) and lead negotiations to optimise commercial terms.
• Anticipate supply risks and define mitigation plans, including alternative suppliers and buffer stocks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in demand planning, inventory management and procurement within a multi‑country environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable plans.
• Leadership skills to manage a small team and collaborate with regional and country teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
