Head of Driver Learning & Engagement

About the role

GSM is looking for a strategic, people‑centric leader to shape driver capability, engagement and communications across the organisation. You will partner with Operations, HR, Recruitment and Market Leadership to deliver a consistent, high‑impact driver experience throughout the driver lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a driver learning strategy, including onboarding, refresher, compliance, safety and leadership programmes.
• Build, lead and scale trainer teams and external partners, standardising content, delivery methods and quality controls across markets.
• Design and run monthly, quarterly and annual driver engagement initiatives such as recognition programmes, events, competitions and community activities.
• Conduct driver surveys, analyse satisfaction, retention and participation metrics, and act on feedback with relevant stakeholders.
• Create and manage driver communication channels, newsletters, policy updates and incident communications, monitoring sentiment through social listening and surveys.
• Lead the Driver Learning, Engagement and Communications teams, manage budgets and provide insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications, Education, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, employee/partner engagement or internal communications, with 3‑5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record designing and delivering training, engagement or communication programmes for frontline or distributed workforces.
• Strong project‑management, stakeholder‑management and data‑driven measurement capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, with high empathy for frontline staff.
• Experience in mobility, transportation, logistics, ride‑hailing or other high‑growth operational environments is a plus.
