Infrastructure Superintendent (Fixed term 12 months)

About the role

The Infrastructure Superintendent provides on‑site leadership for camp infrastructure and architectural building projects. Working full‑time at the construction site, the role ensures that works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily field operations for camp facilities, buildings and civil works, ensuring compliance with approved plans.
• Perform routine site inspections, track progress, identify issues and keep workflow smooth across teams.
• Enforce quality‑control procedures and regulatory standards.
• Manage costs, approve commitments and follow cost‑control and change‑management processes.
• Coordinate with supervisors, suppliers and vendors to ensure timely material delivery and site logistics.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports on construction progress, workforce deployment, equipment usage and safety observations.
• Lead morning briefings and end‑of‑day walkthroughs to align crews and plan next steps.
• Maintain site safety plans, conduct toolbox talks and monitor PPE compliance.
• Verify quality of installations against drawings, specifications and standards.
• Maintain accurate site records and escalate operational risks or change requests.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualifications; engineering degree or tertiary qualification preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience delivering infrastructure projects, preferably in West Africa.
• Proven experience managing similar construction projects from an Owner’s perspective.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to maintain registers and produce clear progress and risk reports.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Advanced Excel skills.
