About the role

The Maintenance Engineer will provide on‑site services for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and technical support of crushing, screening and mining drilling equipment. The role involves working at national and international mining sites, ensuring reliable operation of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, start‑up and perform performance tests on crushers, screens, feeders, conveyors and related plant equipment.
• Carry out technical maintenance and fault diagnosis on surface drilling rigs and associated hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components.
• Inspect equipment, conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, and document all activities.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, P&ID, assembly manuals and technical data sheets.
• Provide technical reports and communicate findings to clients and internal teams.
• Travel extensively to mining sites and work autonomously in demanding field conditions.

Required profile

• Degree level BAC+4 to BAC+7 in engineering or related technical field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Ability to systematically diagnose equipment failures.
• Good command of written and spoken technical English.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in challenging environments.

Required skills

• Installation and commissioning of crushing and screening equipment.
• Troubleshooting of hydraulic circuits, pumps, valves, cylinders and motors.
• Maintenance of pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Reading mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics and P&ID.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Performance testing of mining plant equipment.
• Technical report writing.
• Knowledge of wear parts and consumables for crushing, screening and drilling equipment.
