Investment Director – Renewable Energy & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Investment Director to shape and execute our investment strategy across renewable energy, battery storage, transmission and broader energy infrastructure assets. The role will drive the full deal lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities to closing transactions and managing a growing portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s investment strategy, identifying new markets, technologies and regulatory opportunities.
• Lead acquisition, divestment, joint‑venture and strategic‑investment transactions, overseeing due‑diligence across financial, technical, legal, ESG and regulatory dimensions.
• Structure and negotiate acquisition agreements, shareholder agreements and partnership arrangements.
• Oversee complex project‑finance and valuation modelling, evaluate returns, sensitivities and financing structures.
• Support project development teams, lead capital‑raising initiatives and negotiate debt facilities with banks, DFIs and infrastructure investors.
• Monitor portfolio performance, drive value‑creation initiatives, and identify refinancing or expansion opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, regulators, developers, investors and lenders.
• Ensure compliance with investment policies, governance standards and ESG considerations.

Required profile

• 10‑15+ years of experience in infrastructure, renewable energy or related project‑finance environments.
• Proven track record of sourcing, executing and managing large‑scale energy investments.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, market and technical drivers in the energy sector.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder‑management and board‑reporting skills.
