IT Controller

About the role

Wave is seeking an IT Controller to join its Internal Control team in Côte d’Ivoire. You will help identify and mitigate IT and security risks, work closely with cross‑functional teams, and act as the primary external point of contact for audits and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main external contact for IT and security control audits with BCEAO, banking partners, and other regulators in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire.
• Support execution of IT audits, draft reports, and manage remediation activities.
• Identify, assess, and monitor IT risks across the organization, ensuring they are captured in Wave’s risk mapping framework.
• Implement and enforce risk management policies, conduct preventive and detective controls, and report on risk activities.
• Collaborate with Wave’s Security Team and other stakeholders to design and assess controls aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST, or SOC 2.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in internal control, risk management, internal audit, or IT/security controls.
• University degree in IT or a related field.
• Professional fluency in both French and English.
• Strong analytical abilities, proactive mindset, and high emotional and cultural intelligence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and cloud‑native/cloud‑hosted platforms.
• Familiarity with at least one major security framework (ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST, SOC 2).
• Ability to design, assess, and document technical controls and audit evidence.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation measures.
