IT Specialist – Advanced Technical Support

About the role

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join Sigma Cylinders in Abidjan. The role focuses on delivering advanced technical support, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring the continuity of critical business systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced support and act as an escalation point for complex hardware, software, network and system issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft 365 and core business applications, performing root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system, ensuring proper prioritisation and documentation.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, printers and network devices with secure standard builds.
• Administer servers, virtualization platforms, backup solutions and cloud services such as Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Azure AD.
• Monitor LAN, WAN and Wi‑Fi performance, and support network services including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and firewalls.
• Implement IT security policies, patch management, vulnerability mitigation, endpoint protection and threat monitoring.
• Maintain user accounts, access permissions and security configurations following least‑privilege principles.
• Support audits, compliance documentation and IT projects including upgrades, migrations and new technology roll‑outs.
• Manage IT asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal and drive process improvements through standardisation and automation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in delivering advanced technical support in a corporate environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root‑cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary IT team.
