Key Account Manager

About the role

We’re looking for a commercially driven, data‑oriented Key Account Manager to build strong, long‑term partnerships with corporate payment partners. You will own and grow a portfolio of strategic partners, drive their performance and expand the use of Wave’s payment products across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow a portfolio of corporate payment partners, acting as the main business and operational contact.
• Run regular business reviews, identify growth opportunities and cross‑sell new payment products.
• Detect early churn signals, build and execute growth roadmaps, and drive commercial performance through pricing proposals and in‑field activation.
• Ensure operational excellence by handling partner support, refunds, settlements and coordinating with Finance, Risk & Fraud teams.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Account Supervisors, setting priorities and maintaining high performance standards.

Required profile

• A degree in management, finance, business or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role.
• Fluency in French and a good level of English, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer experiences.
• Experience managing teams and working with cross‑functional stakeholders in an international, fintech or mobile‑money environment.
