Operations Associate (G-6) – Full Time

About the role

The Operations Associate supports the sub‑national office sections in Côte d'Ivoire by handling a range of procedural, administrative and operational tasks. Working under close supervision, the role contributes to the development, implementation and monitoring of the country programme, ensuring delivery aligns with UNICEF policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out administrative and clerical duties to support programme delivery.
• Assist in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of country‑level activities.
• Ensure compliance with UNICEF operational policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidential records and manage office documentation.
• Coordinate with diverse teams and external partners to facilitate timely programme execution.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education; technical or university courses related to the role are preferred.
• Minimum six years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical experience.
• Thorough knowledge of UNICEF operational policies and procedures.
• Strong organizational, planning and prioritisation abilities.
• High sense of confidentiality, initiative and good judgment.
• Ability to work effectively with people from different national and cultural backgrounds.
• Fluent French; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
• Experience in program or operations support, UN agencies or NGOs, especially in fragile or humanitarian contexts, is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience using SharePoint and other UNICEF software tools.
