About the role
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Programme Management Assistant (G‑6) for its GEF Biodiversity and Land Degradation Unit in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The incumbent will support the Task Manager for the West Africa region and work under the overall guidance of the Head of the GEF BD/LD Unit.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administrative and programme‑management support to the Task Manager and the GEF BD/LD Unit.
- Assist in coordination with international and national partners on biodiversity and land‑degradation projects.
- Help prepare reports, briefing notes and documentation related to programme activities.
Required profile
- University degree relevant to environmental programme management.
- Experience working in an international or development setting is desirable.
