Project Manager – Inland Services

About the role

The Project Manager – Inland Services will define and lead the strategy for inland logistics corridors, integrating trucks and rail solutions into the CMACGM group’s offering. You will work closely with country General Managers, regional offices and logistics partners to drive market growth across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Define and align a unified strategy for inland corridors (trucks, rail) in coordination with senior stakeholders.
• Identify and assess terminal and rail opportunities, develop business cases and present them to top management.
• Map priority corridors and customers in Sub‑Saharan Africa and create a roadmap for initial focus.
• Support bid responses, product development and cross‑selling initiatives with shipping lines and logistics teams.
• Provide regular market and performance updates, track industry trends and contribute to value‑proposition development.
• Collaborate with heads of cluster, country GMs and sales teams to anticipate customer needs and propose asset or infrastructure investments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, transport or supply‑chain project management, preferably in an international context.
• Strong business‑intelligence mindset with the ability to evaluate market opportunities and develop robust business cases.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work with senior executives, local authorities and external partners.
• Ability to deliver strategic mapping and analysis within tight timeframes (2‑4 months).
