Project Manager – Strategy & Analysis (Cocoa Value Chain)

About the role

ecowise is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead a large‑scale assessment of organizations operating in Côte d'Ivoire's cocoa value chain. The role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on field execution to produce insights that will shape future support and strengthening initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the study and analytical workstream, overseeing quantitative and qualitative analysis across multiple organizations.
• Manage and mentor a team of analysts, defining priorities, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Generate strategic insights and actionable recommendations for senior decision‑makers.
• Lead reporting, develop synthesis reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain overall project delivery, monitoring timelines, risks and coordination across teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, agricultural economics, business, public policy or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in strategy consulting, agricultural value‑chain analysis or development finance.
• Proven experience leading mixed‑method research and organizational assessments.
• Full professional fluency in both French and English.
• Experience working with large or complex datasets and translating analysis into strategic recommendations.
