Qualified Solicitor – International Commercial Recoveries (Remote – Côte d'Ivoire)

About the role

Recovery Advisers is expanding its West African footprint and seeks a Côte d'Ivoire‑qualified solicitor to join the team. The position is remote‑first, allowing the professional to work from anywhere in Côte d'Ivoire while supporting the new Abidjan office. The role offers exposure to high‑value international commercial recovery matters and trade advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage correspondence with Western African clients and debtors on commercial recovery cases.
• Conduct commercial litigation, dispute resolution and court proceedings, including winding‑up and insolvency matters.
• Negotiate settlements and structure deals for complex cross‑border transactions.
• Draft and deliver legal opinions on contract enforceability, collateral and security arrangements.

Required profile

• Côte d'Ivoire‑qualified lawyer/solicitor with a minimum of three years post‑qualification experience in commercial litigation or dispute resolution.
• Proven ability to handle settlement negotiations, court appearances and client advisory work.
• Right of audience before the courts of Côte d'Ivoire; additional licences in ECOWAS, Ghana or Nigeria are a plus.
• Fluent English (official work language) and strong commercial mindset.
