Senior Accountant

About the role

The client is a mobility fintech operating across Africa and Latin America, building and financing vehicle fleets for ride‑hailing and delivery drivers. They are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead the full‑cycle accounting function in Ivory Coast and support the group’s financial consolidation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting under the SYSCOHADA Révisé standard, including day‑to‑day operations and monthly closings.
• Oversee tax compliance, electronic invoicing (FNE), payroll processing (CNPS and related taxes), and act as the primary liaison with tax authorities.
• Implement and roll out the ERP system (Odoo or equivalent), integrating chart of accounts, documentation standards and internal controls.
• Prepare financial reports for headquarters, support group consolidation, and conduct budget‑to‑actual variance analysis.
• Perform bank reconciliations, manage payment workflows, and ensure strict documentation and approval procedures.
• Coordinate external audits, tax inspections and work closely with local advisors and the Dubai‑based finance team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience in Côte d’Ivoire, including roles as Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant with full ownership of a legal entity’s books.
• Strong knowledge of SYSCOHADA Révisé and Ivorian tax legislation (VAT, corporate tax, payroll taxes, FNE).
• Fluent in French and English; Russian language skills are a plus.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance (DESCOGEF, DSCG or equivalent).
