Senior Field Service & Implementation Engineer – Africa

About the role

The Senior Field Service & Implementation Engineer – Africa provides high‑quality technical service, customer implementation, field troubleshooting, equipment installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, and customer support for Terumo BCT equipment across the African region, focusing on Francophone Africa. The role strengthens direct service capability in the region and involves hands‑on field work supporting customers, distributors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installations, preventive and corrective maintenance, and repairs of Terumo BCT equipment, providing first‑line troubleshooting and technical support.
• Lead or support customer site implementations, coordinate activities with distributors, sales and service teams, and deliver training and documentation.
• Support distributors and third‑party service partners in Francophone Africa, coaching engineers and addressing capability gaps.
• Provide regional technical guidance, share knowledge, participate in service projects, and help build training capability at the Africa training centre.
• Assist commercial initiatives, contribute technical input for quotations, warranty packages, and service contracts, and work closely with sales to drive device utilization and revenue growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, electrical, mechanical, medical technology, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of field service or technical support experience with complex medical devices, preferably in Francophone Africa.
• Fluency in English and French with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• IT infrastructure, networking, and system connectivity knowledge for equipment integration.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting of electronic and biomedical equipment.
