Senior Geologist

About the role

An International Mining company is seeking an experienced Senior Geologist to join its team in Côte d’Ivoire. The role involves guiding exploration strategies, leading projects from inception to completion, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide geological expertise to shape exploration strategies and decision‑making.
• Lead and manage geological exploration projects, aligning them with company goals.
• Supervise and mentor junior geologists and field teams.
• Conduct detailed geological and structural analysis, sampling, and data collection.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all activities comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Identify and mitigate geological risks associated with exploration projects.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a geologist in greenfield or brownfield mining environments.
• Masters level education preferred.
• Strong organisational and hard‑working attitude.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Ambitious with clear career goals.

Required skills

• Proficiency in QGIS.
• Experience with 3D geological software such as Leapfrog or Micromine.
