Senior Geologist

About the role

An international mining company is seeking an experienced Senior Geologist to be based in Côte d’Ivoire. The role requires strong technical expertise to guide exploration strategies and support decision‑making across greenfield and brownfield projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage geological exploration projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Supervise and mentor junior geologists and field teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Conduct detailed geological, structural, and sampling analyses and interpret data to identify mineral deposits.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all exploration activities comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Identify and mitigate geological risks, implementing sound risk‑management strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a geologist in greenfield or brownfield mining environments.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong organisational abilities, hard‑working, and ambitious with clear career goals.

Required skills

• Proficiency in QGIS.
• Experience with 3D geological software such as Leapfrog or Micromine.
• Solid background in geological data analysis and interpretation.
